Maretarium 20 years

This year, Maretarium celebrates its 20th anniversary. In twenty years, about 875,000 visitors have visited the aquarium tour. The actual birthday day is May 1st. The theme of the jubilee year is the diversity of aquatic nature. Maretarium encourages its visitors to work for a more diverse aquatic nature in its exhibition, tips for actions can be found on the commitment wall.
To celebrate the anniversary, a Maretarium mug has been commissioned in cooperation with Arabia Fiskars. The mug was designed designer Niina Aalto. Other products of the anniversary year include a perch magnet designed by Sakke Yrjölä and fish-themed pot coasters by Pooki Design. The products for the anniversary year are on sale at Meripuoti.
On birthday day 1 May 2022, all 20-year-olds and younger people have free entry. On birthday day, there is a program especially for children. The celebrations will be held with the partners on Friday 13 May 2022.
