The world’s finest nature photos will be published in July-September on display in Maretarium

The world-renowned nature photography exhibition, Wildlife Photographer of the Year, opens at Maretarium on 1 July 2026 at 10 am. The exhibition is on loan from the Natural History Museum in London and presents some of today’s most exceptional nature photographs from around the world.

The exhibition presents powerful and fascinating images, telling about animal behaviour, wonderful species and biodiversity. The images share stories and species from around the world, encouraging the protection of our shared planet.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the most prestigious photography event of its kind. The competition was launched in 1965 and the exhibition now on display is the 61st touring exhibition. This time, more than 60,000 photographers took part in the competition. Photographers of all ages, from amateurs to professional photographers, come from 113 different countries and regions. The large number of participants underlines the continued appeal of the competition. The award-winning images will be exhibited around the world, and more than a million people will be able to see them.
